Erick Turns Six!

Ben's First USCF Tournament

Ben and I spent our Saturday playing chess at the middle schoole.

He and I had a lot of fun. He won a couple, lost a couple and drew one. I won two and drew two and tied for 2nd in my divsion.  We're looking forward to more chess tournaments in the future!

When we were at the beach in April, our neighbors were also staying at the beach over the weekend.  She took some really nice pictures of us and I thought I'd share.

Picture Catch Up

Lots has been going around our home the last few weeks.

Emma's school did Colonial Days.  Jill helped out.

We carved pumpkins (Go Rangers!)


Ben earned his Wolf.

Jill and the kids went to the zoo.

And we went Trunk R Treating.

At the Beach

We just can't get enough of the beach.  It was beautiful Friday evening - grey skies, wind, waves crashing.  We had so much fun.

First Day of School Pics ...

... but just a couple of weeks late.  Emma in 5th, Camille in 0 (pre-school), Ben in 3rd and Erick in K.

I work from home on Tuesdays and every Tuesday, Camille comes into my office to say good morning.  She goes to pre-school on Tuesdays as well - so this week she got ready before she came into my office.  She had these silver glitter shoes on, a white shirt, white leggings and a frilly skirt with silver sparkles on it.  She was so cute - I called her 'Twinkle Toes' - she laughed, but didn't want me to call her Twinkle Toes.  So now we just call her shoes Twinkle Toe Shoes.  I got her to wear the outfit minus the leggings so I could snap a picture of her.

The End of Summer (Vacation)

We had our good friends the Crows stay with us for a few days.  Jill, Wendy and the kids had lots of fun.  We also got to invite our other good friends the Cheneys over to swim.  On Tuesday, we all went to the beach and enjoyed the warm gulf water.  Seeing the ocean and the sunset was so serene.

School starts on Monday.
